About
As the Digital Scholarship Specialist, I partner with students, faculty, staff, and librarians to enhance learning, teaching, and scholarship through the application of technologies and emerging digital research methods across disciplines. I contribute expertise with new and established technologies that affect discovery and inquiry, research workflows, and engagement with library collections and data. I also consult on and teach digital methodologies and tools. For the library, I am the Omeka Service Lead, where I develop policies, assess accessibility, create documentation, and support digital exhibit owners. As well, I coordinate the plannings of ScholarSpace's digital scholarship workshops and events.
Previously, I was the Digital Humanities Librarian, and liaison to Africana Studies, Classics, and Philosophy at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. I have a BA in American Culture from Vassar College, a MSLIS from Pratt Institute, and a MA in Digital Humanities from Loyola University Chicago. I am active in the Association of Computers and Humanities and I am currently a member of the Executive Board. My research interests include Black DH, humanities data, critical race feminist praxis, library history, and African American women's history.
