Nicholas Holterman

Nicholas is a Master of Soical Work candidate in the Interpersonal Pathway in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse here at U-M. He successfully defended his PhD dissertation, "Old French Narrative Lays and the Video Games We Play," in July 2023. In this project they examine short narrative texts of the French Ages through the lens of modern video gaming. From feminist & queer game design to digital timespace, this dissertation situates itself uniquely between medieval studies and gaming studies.
