The Digital Studies Institute is a robust intellectual community where faculty and students work across interdisciplinary lines.
Our 80 governing and affiliate faculty members, hail from 28 of the University of Michigan’s departments and professional schools. Our faculty’s research and creative praxis ask questions regarding technology, digital culture, and social justice through a number of fields of study.
The Institute also serves as a faculty research incubator and accelerator and is home to several working groups, labs, and the multi-campus DISCO Network Research Initiative.
